Our Escorted Escape begins today as you fly from your nearest capital city to Sydney. Tonight is spent at the airport hotel where you can meet your host and share a welcome drink with your fellow travellers.

We fly to Johannesburg today. On arrival, we will be met by our tour leader and transferred to our hotel. The remainder of the evening is at leisure within the Emperors Palace complex

This morning return to Johannesburg airport for our onward flight to Kasane, the gateway to Chobe National Park. Board a game cruise on the Chobe River before returning to the lodge for our Welcome Dinner.

Experience Chobe National Park on an open-vehicle game drive this morning. Chobe is home to the largest elephant population in the world. Late in the afternoon, return to the river for a sunset game cruise and enjoy a dinner feast on board.

Today we cross the border into Zimbabwe on our way to Victoria Falls. Spend the afternoon at your leisure, perhaps relaxing and watching the wildlife near the property. This evening we enjoy a group dinner at the famous restaurant Boma – Place of Eating.

Board the unforgettable ‘Flight of the Angels’ helicopter tour this morning and marvel at the majestic views of the falls and iconic Zambezi river from the air. We will also enjoy the panorama of the falls from land while exploring the national park with our guide. In the evening we take to the upper Zambezi on a sunset cruise.

Today we fly from Victoria Falls to Cape Town. Spend the afternoon at your leisure – perhaps you might like to go shopping, exploring the local neighbourhoods or relax at your hotel.

Explore the city of Cape Town today, beginning with a trip to Robben Island, where Nelson Mandela and other anti-apartheid activists were imprisoned. We will also ride the cable car to the summit of Table Mountain to enjoy stunning views across the city and bay.

Enjoy a full day of exploration along the stunning Cape Peninsula, following the coast down to the Cape of Good Hope. The views from the lighthouse are stunning as you look down on the meeting of two oceans. Enjoy the beauty of Clifton and Camps Bay, gaze at the peaks of the Twelve Apostles, visit a penguin colony and see the famous wineries of Constantia.

Spend a leisurely morning in Cape Town before we take a short drive to reach the beautiful Western Cape wine region encompassing Paarl, Franschhoek and Stellenbosch. We will stay in Franschhoek, a charming town with centuries-old vineyards and Cape Dutch architecture.

Enjoy a relaxing morning meandering through the quaint village of Franschhoek before a gourmet lunch and vineyard tour at Le Petite Ferme, a stylish winery nestled amongst the vineyards on the slopes of Olifants Pass. After lunch, we discover the historic Boschendal Wine Estate with a cellar tour and wine tasting.

We farewell the wine region and make our way along the picturesque Garden Route, we’ll break the journey with a lunch stop en-route before arriving at the beautiful town of Oudtshoorn, known as “the ostrich capital of the world”.

This morning we’ll explore the Cango Caves – a series of hidden chambers cut deep into a thick limestone rock layer in the Swartberg Mountains. We then proceed to a local ostrich farm to enjoy a three-course lunch and guided tour.

We depart today for Knysna, a popular town in the heart of the Garden Route. Knysna is situated on a beautiful lagoon and surrounded by ancient forest. We’ll enjoy a boat cruise and lunch at Knysna Heads.

Today we further explore the Knysna area, including the Tsitsikamma National Park and the famous Storms River Suspension Bridge, as well as visiting Birds of Eden: the world’s largest free flight aviary and bird sanctuary.

Fly from George to Kruger International Airport and transfer to our lodge. Spend the evening enjoying the facilities of the lodge.

Today is a full day game drive, exploring the stunning scenery and wildlife of the Kruger National Park. Covering an area of 19,485 square kilometres, the world-renowned Kruger National Park offers a wildlife experience that ranks with the best in Africa.

After a restful start to the morning we make our way to our accommodation in a different part of the Greater Kruger National Park. We arrive in time to make the most of the wonderful facilities before our afternoon game drive.

Embark on an early morning game drive before returning to the lodge for lunch and some down time. Explore different sections of the reserve today, enjoying sundowner drinks on your afternoon game drive where hopefully your checklist of the Big 5 sightings will be complete!

Head out for one last game drive this morning before returning to the lodge for breakfast. Later, transfer to the airport for our flight to Johannesburg and onward to Australia
