DAY 1
Your Escorted Escape begins today as we fly from Australia to Kilimanjaro.
DAY 2
On arrival into Kilimanjaro, our tour guides eagerly await our arrival for a unique and traditional African style welcome before transferring to our hotel in Arusha. Your afternoon is at your leisure to enjoy the beautiful surrounds or to rest.
Accommodation: Arusha Serena Hotel
DAY 3
This morning we depart to the Ngorongoro Crater, the world’s largest inactive, unfilled volcanic caldera, which has been described as one of the great natural wonders of the world. The crater is home to many species of wild game and birds – almost every species of African plains mammal lives in the crater, including the endangered black rhino and the densest population of predators in Africa. Tonight enjoy a sunset drink and welcome
dinner at the lodge.
Accommodation: Ngorongoro Sopa Lodge
DAY 4
After breakfast we descend some 610 metres into the crater, for a full day game drive complete with picnic lunch. Prides of lions, herds of Cape buffalo, rhino, giraffes, golden and black-backed jackal, zebra, cheetah, leopard and the spotted hyena freely roam on the plains of the crater floor. Unmatched for its natural variety and breathtaking beauty, there are few places on earth where such a tremendous diversity of landscapes exist
inside a region this size.
Accommodation: Ngorongoro Sopa Lodge
DAY 5
Farewell the majestic Ngorongoro Crater after breakfast and head for another famous Tanzanian highlight – the Serengeti. First we will visit a Masai village to learn about one of earth’s oldest cultures, before enjoying lunch on arrival at our lodge. This afternoon depart on a game drive through the world famous Serengeti National Park, home to over 4 million mammals and birds.
Accommodation: Serengeti Serena Lodge
DAY 6
The Serengeti is one of the world’s last great wildlife refuges and home to
one of the most valued collections of wildlife on the planet, renowned for
its large predator population. We explore this spectacular park with morning
and afternoon game drives today.
Accommodation: Serengeti Serena Lodge
DAY 7
After breakfast we head north towards the Kenyan border and continue
to the Masai Mara Game Reserve. Today is a long travel day, but the wildlife in one of Africa’s greatest reserves makes it worthwhile.
Accommodation: Serengeti Serena Lodge
DAY 8
Today it’s all about the animals, with morning and afternoon game drives.
The Masai Mara is one of Africa’s greatest wildlife reserves. The acacia
dotted plains, tree-lined rivers and woodlands are abundant with wildlife
and an array of birdlife, including the two million animals that migrate
through the area during the natural wonder that is the Great Migration.
Accommodation: Tipilikwani Mara Camp
DAY 9
Spend another day exploring the stunning scenery and wildlife of the Masai Mara with morning and afternoon game drives. Game viewing is spectacular year round; you may see a pride of lions stalking their prey, observe a herd of elephants and their fascinating social structure or see pods of hippo wallowing in the rivers.

an eye out for herds of giraffe and gazelle on our way to Lake Nakuru.
Arrive at the lodge in time for lunch before an afternoon game drive.
